Discover Yourself Thru Art – with artist and life coach Jadzia Romaniec

This course provides an opportunity for participants to explore their inner world and learn about themselves through creating art. Through making theme-based art and images, participants will  learn about their thoughts and  feelings which are difficult to express in words.  Personal expression is known to reduce stress, stimulate  creative thinking  and problem solving.   Since creating a piece of artwork is not the sole purpose of the course, artistic abilities or experience are not required.  This course of for adults.

Jadzia Romaniec holds degrees in art and psychology, and studied art therapy at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute.. She has received numerous commissions from schools and churches throughout the Ottawa area. She has conducted art therapy workshops with Bereaved Families of Ottawa, Gaucher Foundation (Canada), and Canadian Breast Cancer Network. She holds art therapy sessions for rehabilitation program clients at the Salvation Army, and teaches art with the City of Ottawa.

Testimonials –

Jadzia moves her learners safely along the interesting journey toward self….she creates an atmosphere that induces insightful reflection and expression through creativity then stimulates participants to explore and learn about themselves…..she is a gifted and caring teacher who inspires one to see oneself via the lens of artful expressions………..

I took an art and expression class with Jadzia. The classes combined artistic reflection with novel and creative exercises to help open up me up to my own ideas and to find my own sense of colour and shape. We used a wide variety of techniques and materials, which taught me new approaches to art I hadn’t tried before. I loved the range of tools and techniques that we got to try.

The classroom atmosphere was very accepting and uplifting and fun and I left the session each week feeling very energized. I believe Jadzia has a very creative and fresh approach to art and expression and can lead a student into novel and unusual work they didn’t know they could do. She creates a warm and comfortable and fun environment that allows you to open up and try new things.

I highly recommend a class with Jadzia and hope to take another one soon.

“I loved taking this course – being creative is very helpful in the healing process”.
